What it is & where to purchase it.
Upstream, Downstream: Preserving Our Way of Life was filmed and produced on
site by Green Fire Productions, from Lobster Valley, Oregon, during the spring,
summer and fall of 2002. The actual filming took place during multiple three-week
long visits, resulting in countless hours of footage from interviews with
local citizens and breathtaking images of this rural watershed.
“This film is unique among films of the same genera,” says Green Fire Production’s
Executive Director, Karen Anspacher-Meyer, “because this film, which features
a community taking action, is told by and in the words of the community itself…surprisingly,
this is often not the case.”
This
project was made possible by the generous support of the Heinz Endowments.
