Community Gardens Bloom Again

During the months of May and June, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is working with volunteers to plant this year's community gardens in areas throughout western Pennsylvania. We are pleased to bring these colorful displays to local neighborhoods as well as major highways.

Western Pennsylvania Conservancy gardens are designed to create beautiful spaces in communities and in community gateways to engage communities in helping preserve urban green space. In the words of Larry Schweiger, president of Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, "We organize communities to plant flowers but we plant flowers to organize communities."
