Volunteer Recognition Week: Inside Operation On almost every Wednesday, the WPC office is brightened by the presence of a very special, hardworking volunteer, Pat Kraeuter. Pat has been assisting with clerical duties in the Resource Conservation department since 1998, and prior to that was actively involved in WPC's Community Conservation garden plantings and the yearly judging of the senior high-rise garden contest. One of her current assignments is to put in order the numerous library of slides of plants, animals and natural areas -- no small feat, as there are thousands of these important images. The Resource Conservation staff appreciates every Wednesday Pat spends with us -- her assistance with the daily clerical work helps to move projects and our mission forward. Pat spends her free time enjoying the beauty of the outdoors through travel, photography, wildlife watching and visiting with her five grandchildren. Pat and her husband Gary have been WPC members since the 1970s. If you would like to volunteer to do clerical work at WPC's downtown office, please contact Katherine Smitherman at 412-586-2380 or email: ksmitherman@paconserve.org.
