Protecting Wildlife Birthing Sites Many species of birds nest in hayfields and herbaceous meadows. To protect new wildlife, avoid cutting fields until most nesting is complete in late June, and, if possible, wait until August 1st. A good source of information on this conservation practice is found at the Massachusetts Audubon Society website at: http://www.massaudubon.org/Birds_&_Beyond/Grassland_Birds/small.html E-mail Today's WPC Daily to a Friend!
