Planning Your Planting Program
Things to do in January:
- plan your planting program;
- design a new garden
- inventory supplies to see if you have what you need to plant your seeds: potting soil, pots, flats, grow lights;
- place
catalog orders for seeds, herbs, perennials, shrubs, trees.
The photo above celebrates petunias and marigolds found in some of WPC's 400 community gardens. The garden program now reaches 20 western Pa. counties and represents the work of more than 5,000 volunteers each spring.
