Gardening Tip: Bulbs and Tubers

Check stored bulbs and tubers, discard those showing signs of rot.

Pictured above are tulips planted in "Faith's Garden," a WPC community garden named in the memory of Faith Gallo, a former director of city parks and consultant to WPC before her passing in 1999. Faith was instrumental in the growth of the garden program and saw it as a beautiful way to bring nature to the 5,000 urban children and adults who volunteer to help plant and maintain our 400 garden projects. The Faith Gallo garden today enhances the golden triangle of downtown Pittsburgh.
