Bringing the Clarion River Back to Life

The Clarion River flows through one of the wildest and most scenic corridors in the eastern United States and stands as one of the finest examples of commitment by the local community to clean up and protect their watershed. WPC is proud to have been instrumental in partnering the natural and human communities to rejuvenate and protect this natural treasure.

The Clarion River, pictured above, is a 41-mile wildland corridor located two hours from Pittsburgh. Dotted with a few small towns and cottages, most of the length of the project is a wilderness-like ribbon of forest and water.
