The Domino White Effect

Perfect for a hot and humid climate, Nicotiana ‘Domino White' is a distant relative of tobacco. Nicotiana is available in multiple colors and heights with some varieties blooming at night. Nicotiana is new to Western Pennsylvania Conservancy community gardens in 2004. WPC has found that Nicotiana ‘Domino White' is performing well and adding solid blocks of white and red to numerous community gardens. This fragrant annual likes full to partial sun and will bloom from early spring to early fall.

Today's photo was taken this past week by WPC's Landscaping Services Specialist Art DeMeo at the community gateway garden in Beaver County. Located at the intersection of State Route 18 and Broadhead Road, the full white beds of Nicotiana complement the red and pink color in the adjacent beds containing begonia and zinnia.
