Green Thumb Tuesday: Garden Water Features

Water features in gardens not only provide a positive energy and balance, but also offer a valuable water source for wildlife of all sizes. Water features provide a garden focal point with either still or moving water and may include fountains, water spouts, waterfalls, formal or informal ponds, bogs or container water gardens.

Sounds of Mother Nature soothe and relax. The sound of water immerses you in a relaxing mode. The soothing sound of naturally flowing water provides the perfect backdrop for sleep, relaxation, meditation and concentration. All creatures need water to exist, and water features of any size can offer a great opportunity for attracting and viewing wildlife.

Today's photo is an example of a very formal water feature, and was take at Phipps Conservatory by Art DeMao, WPC Landscape Services Specialist.
