Work of Photographer Robert P. Ruschak to be exhibited at The Barn at Fallingwater

Fascinated with nature since he was a child, Robert P. Ruschak approaches the woods with a sense of exploration and discovery. Ruschak says, "I do appreciate it when people tell me that my pictures give them a sense of peace. I simply say that it's probably because I'm at peace when I take them."

Influenced by Edward Weston and Ansel Adams, his style has evolved over the years to portray his unique vision and sense of revelation. His masterful photographs of the environment are considered his most intriguing and contemplative as they uncover the poetry of nature. Ruschak is represented in over 200 private and institutional collections. He has had 1-person exhibitions at Pittsburgh Film Makers, the Community College of Allegheny County, the Blue Sky Gallery and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. He has been a featured artist at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts.

More than 70 of Ruschak’s black and white nature photographs will be on display and for sale at the Barn at Fallingwater, Tuesdays - Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., July 19th through December 5th, and will be open to the public free of charge. The proceeds from all sales go directly to the preservation of Fallingwater and other Western Pennsylvania Conservancy activities. Directions
The Barn at Fallingwater is located on the Bear Run Nature Reserve on PA Route 381, between Mill Run and Ohiopyle, Fayette County, just ¼ mile north of the Fallingwater entrance. Parking is conveniently located behind the facility, and can be reached via the entry drive for Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s Bear Run Nature Reserve.
