Next month, Fallingwater will begin its 42nd season of daily tours to the public. To date 3,791,272 visitors have experienced the house; seeing its cantilevers soar above them, almost defying gravity with a grace unequaled in the history of architecture; and hearing the roar of Bear Run cascading directly below them.
For those with a strong appreciation for Wright's masterwork, Fallingwater staff offers to small groups an in-depth tour of the house. In-depth tours last approximately two hours and include detailed exploration and information on all of the major rooms of the house; even secondary spaces that are not available on the regular tour, such as the kitchen shown in today's photo. Still photography, which is not allowed on the regular tour, is permitted during the in-depth tours.
Beginning March 15, Fallingwater will be open from Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The popular Land of Fallingwater Nature Hike, a three-hour exploration of the house and grounds, starts its tour schedule on April 24. This invigorating, fun and educational experience is offered on Saturdays only. Fallingwater is closed on Mondays.
Because WPC strives to keep tour groups limited in size so that each visitor gets the optimal experience while at Fallingwater, we suggest making reservations two weeks in advance by calling 724-329-8501, or by making reservations on our secure website.
