Become a Strong Voice for Conservation!
Volunteer Policy Stewards are a trained team of committed individuals who can act on policy and advocacy issues at all levels of government.
Becoming a part of this special group is an excellent way for WPC members or other concerned citizens to become actively involved, beyond responding to action alerts or announcements. The ultimate goal is to create a highly functional team with advanced knowledge and broad geographic representation that can accompany WPC staff on visits with elected officials or act on their own, when mobilized.
This is an ideal volunteer opportunity if your personal interest in conservation includes scheduling flexibility, excellent written and verbal communications skills, an ability to speak in front of groups or elected officials, poise and confidence, an interest in regional conservation issues, and most important of all, a demonstrated ability to follow through on your passion.
