Bequests

Looking out into the horizon, how do you want to be remembered?

As a supporter of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, you help us ensure that the character and natural beauty of the region is here for generations to enjoy long into the future. You can continue to conserve Western Pennsylvania’s exceptional places through your estate without impacting your current standard of living.

Choosing to name WPC in your will is as simple as adding a codicil to your existing document.

You choose the bequest gift that works best for you. You may designate a percentage or a residual of your estate, a specific dollar amount, assets, or personal property to be used as a gift to WPC. Your generosity will leave a lasting legacy in support of the organization's future efforts.

What if I already have a will?

You need only to call your attorney and advise him or her of your interest in making a bequest to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy. In most cases, a bequest may be stated by the creation of a codicil to your existing will.

What if I don't have a will?

If you didn't write and sign a will, state law wrote and signed one for you. It is called the law of intestacy, and it can distribute your assets in ways that you would never have anticipated or desired.

Please Note: To leave your inheritance to loved ones and to special organizations, contact your attorney today about creating a will.
